Single-Length

Sets of Golf Clubs

Virtually all golfers have a single favorite iron that they hit perfectly every time they pull it out of the bag. The reason for this is that it is the only one within the set that places them into the ideal swing posture and swing plane to maximize both their power and control. From a mechanical perspective the club length in relation to the clubhead lie angle is what determines the playability of a golf club and the ideal combination of the two only occurs in one club within a conventional set of irons. This is the premise of 1 Iron Golf, that all of the irons within a set incorporate the same ideal fitting and dynamic attributes as this favorite iron thus producing an entire set of favorite irons. The result is a tremendous increase in consistent ball striking, increased distance, and pin-point accuracy for golfers of all skill levels.

1 Iron Golf

The benefits

Conventional golf clubs are built in 1/2 inch length increments with varying clubhead lie angles throughout a set. This means that other than the driver and putter you carry twelve golf clubs having twelve different club lengths with twelve different clubhead lie angles. In order to develop your full ball striking potential you have to learn and master twelve different swings with twelve different set-ups and twelve different ball positions. Considering that even the pros who average hitting 1,000 golf balls per day cannot master them all what chance do you have?

The answer is: none.

With a set of 1 Iron Golf clubs you need to learn only one swing with only one set-up and only one ball position.

*         Same club length throughout your set.

*         Same swing weight throughout your set.

*         Same moment of inertia throughout your set.

*         Same shaft flex throughout your set.

Designed advantage

The two diagrams above show clearly why it is almost impossible to develop consistent ball striking skill with a conventional set of irons having varying club lengths and lie angles. Add to this the different ball positions required at address with each club and  the deficiencies of conventional irons becomes readily apparent.

The ideal swing posture/swing plane is the one that optimizes your skeletal and muscular functions to maximize power and control in your golf swing. Your shoulder muscles provide control in your swing while your upper back and lower torso muscles provide the power for maximum distance. Too upright of a swing posture places the majority of the stress on the shoulders resulting in lessened power while too flat of a swing posture places the majority of the stress on the upper back and lower torso resulting in lessened control. Through extensive testing performed at the 1 Iron Golf Research and Testing Laboratories we have found conclusively that the ideal swing posture and swing plane for skeletal and muscular optimization with an iron is produced through the use of a 63.5 degree clubhead lie angle. This lie angle in combination with your properly fitted club length (proper golf club length is based upon your W-T-F measurement) forces you into the ideal swing posture for maximum power and control. The fact that all of the irons within a set of 1 Iron Golf clubs are manufactured to these ideal lie angle and club length specifications ensures a stunning level of ball striking consistency, power, and accuracy.

Consistent Distance

Yardage gaps

Unlike conventional clubs 1 Iron Golf clubs are designed with a consistent incremental 4 degree loft angle progression between successive irons (see Specifications on the Irons page). This means that since you are using the same swing and ball position with all of your irons, and all of these irons are the same length, total weight, swing weight, lie angle, offset, etc., you will get an exact and consistent yardage gap between all of the irons within your set. This is impossible to achieve with a conventional set of irons where the loft angle progression varies from club to club.

Increased Power

Through confidence

The majority of our customers are golfers who have become frustrated playing conventional golf clubs over the years. Their handicaps have not changed significantly in this time and they see no improvement to their game on the horizon. After switching to 1 Iron Golf however, they begin to realize unexpected benefits beyond the vast improvement in their crisp ball striking. One of the main benefits being an average 5 yard increase in distance with every iron in their set. The reason is simply that by playing irons that are identical to each other throughout the set you only need to develop one swing and set-up that you can use with every iron and on every shot. Consequently your one single swing becomes more and more ingrained into muscle memory every time you swing a club. The result is a deeply ingrained swing that is so automatic it makes your confidence level soar which in turn allows you go after every shot with all of your power.

Nothing ordinary about our results:

*         Greater power and distance.

*         Extreme ball striking improvement.

*         Stunning accuracy and control.

*         Mid/High handicapper: average 10 stroke reduction in handicaps the first year.

*         Low handicapper: the dramatic increase in swing consistency eliminates those last few strokes bringing handicaps down to zero and below.

There is an old saying:

 "Beware of the man with only one gun, he knows how to use it"
